3/18/2020 COVID-19 Notice:

Effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, our office will be closed to public traffic.

A dropbox will be available between 10AM and 2PM Monday to Friday; however, we encourage you to scan & email, fax or mail tax information to us wherever possible.

CRA has extended the personal filing deadline to June 1, 2020, and payment deadline to August 31, 2020.

If you have a meeting scheduled, your accountant will contact you to reschedule using the option that best suits you.

We recognize that some information will need to be dropped off to the office. Between 10AM and 2PM, documents can be dropped in the box in our 3rd floor lobby, directly across from the elevator door. Supplies are provided to ensure your information remains private and stays together. All information received via the dropbox will be set aside overnight for quarantine purposes before being reviewed.

Finally, we request our clients who are symptomatic, not feeling well, have had possible exposure to the virus, or have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days, to refrain from entering the office at all. Please use one of the other measures noted above to get your documents and information to us. Many of our staff will be working from home. Our staff have also been instructed to stay home if feeling unwell. Educating our teams and supporting self-quarantine measures is a must for all of us.

We want to thank you for your continued support and we look forward to resuming business as usual as soon as possible.

At this time our office remains open during regular business hours. Please contact your accountant directly if you have any questions or are in need of special assistance. Due to staffing constraints we may not be able to answer all incoming calls to our general line. Please leave a message and we will get back to you in a timely manner.

For the protection of yourself and others, we ask that should you have any COVID-19 symptoms or risk factors, you delay coming to our office until a later time. Or feel free to contact your accountant in order to arrange an alternate method of picking up/dropping off your tax documents with us.

Firm History

Green Horwood 1987

1963 The firm was founded by Gordon Green, Cliff Horwood and Doug Munro on the core values of integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to client service. In the first year of operations, the partners each drew a salary of $300 per month.
1964 The firm moved its location from above a restaurant on Fort Street to larger facilities in the historic Yarrow building, to accommodate its rapid growth.
1970s The firm expands, opening a second branch in Vancouver. This branch was subsequently sold to an employee.
1987 The firm moves its 20 people to its former premises on the third floor of 1006 Fort Street, eventually taking over the entire floor. The firm is renamed Green, Horwood, Munro & Tuckey.
1989 The firm continues its growth, with annual fees surpassing $1,000,000 for the first time.
2010 The firm’s name is changed again to Green Horwood & Co LLP. Although the firm’s three founders have retired, we aim to continue their legacy and tradition with the same core values of integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to client service.
2013 Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the firm successfully merged with ESP Chartered Accountants. We extend a warm welcome the firm’s new team members and clients.
2016 The firm relocated to our current premises on the third floor at 710 Redbrick Street, merging with Larkin & Nast Chartered Professional Accountants at the same time.
